Maybe you own a crystal singing bowl but aren't quite sure what to do beyond making it sing.
Maybe you've experienced sound baths and want to understand what's actually happening.
Or perhaps you're a yoga teacher, massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, coach, educator, doula or other practitioner wondering how sound could complement the work you already do.
The Foundations of Sound gives you a place to begin.
During this intimate, hands-on half-day experience, Kelly introduces you to the foundations of sound and vibration while helping you develop the confidence to create sound that feels musical, intentional and effective.

Jacksonville, Oregon
Investment: $300
This is an intimate, hands-on training with limited enrollment so every participant has time to practice, explore and receive personal guidance from Kelly.
You do not need to own or purchase instruments to attend. Kelly provides instruments for use during the training. If you already own a crystal singing bowl or other sound instrument you'd like to explore, you're welcome to bring it with you.

Sound Practitioner Certification
There’s a difference between knowing how to play an instrument and knowing how to create and hold a complete sound experience
Kelly’s Sound Practitioner Certification is an immersive professional training in the art, science and facilitation of therapeutic sound.
Over two full days, you’ll move beyond individual instruments to explore how sound, silence, rhythm, vibration, intention and different instruments can be woven together into an intentional journey.
Just as importantly, you’ll learn about the person on the other side of the sound: how to prepare a space, guide an experience, read a room, work with individuals and groups and hold space responsibly and confidently.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPLORE
01. SOUND & VIBRATION
Deepen your understanding of sound, frequency, resonance, entrainment and Kelly’s foundational approach to sound healing.
02. THE INSTRUMENTS OF SOUND
Gain hands-on experience with crystal and metal singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, drums, rattles, chimes, voice and other sound instruments.
03. MUSICALITY & THE ART OF THE SOUND JOURNEY
Learn to work with notes, scales, harmony, dissonance, layering, transitions, silence, volume and intensity to create experiences that feel intentional rather than random.
04. GROUNDING, BREATH & INTENTION
Explore techniques for helping yourself and your participants arrive, settle and prepare for the sound experience.
05. DESIGNING A SESSION
Learn how to structure a sound journey from beginning through integration and how the experience may differ for an individual, group or different physical setting.
06. HOLDING SPACE
Develop greater awareness around reading participants, navigating emotional responses, creating boundaries and supporting a safe, thoughtful experience.
07. INTEGRATING SOUND INTO OTHER MODALITIES
Explore how sound can complement practices such as yoga, Reiki, massage, meditation, coaching and other wellness work.
08. BUILDING YOUR PRACTICE
Discuss practical considerations around beginning to offer sound professionally, including private versus group experiences, pricing, marketing, insurance and getting started.
09. PRACTICE & FACILITATION
Put everything together by creating and facilitating your own sound experience and receiving guidance and feedback from Kelly.
What you'll leave with
The foundational knowledge, hands-on experience and practical skills to begin creating and facilitating intentional sound experiences for individuals and groups.
You’ll have greater confidence working across multiple instruments, a framework for building a complete sound journey and an understanding of the practical and energetic responsibilities that come with holding space for others.
Whether sound becomes its own offering or complements work you already do, you'll leave with a foundation you can continue building on.
WHO IS PRACTIONER CERTIFICATION FOR?
This training is designed for people who want to take sound beyond personal exploration and develop a deeper practitioner-level skill set.
It may be especially suited to aspiring sound practitioners and professionals in wellness, yoga, massage, energy work, meditation, coaching and other complementary fields who want to incorporate sound into their existing practice.
It can also be a fit for someone who simply wants a much deeper education in sound and hands-on experience across a wide range of instruments before investing in a collection of their own.
The Foundations of Sound training is recommended for those who are completely new to sound, but is not required for participants who already have foundational experience.

Meet Kelly Rose
Your guide & teacher in sound.
For more than a decade, Kelly has immersed herself in sound, energy work and holistic wellness, studying with practitioners, exploring instruments and techniques and facilitating sound experiences for individuals, groups and organizations.
Her approach brings together technical understanding, intuition and something that can only come from experience: learning to truly listen.
At Kelly Rose Sound Institute, students don't simply sit through a lecture about sound. They hear it. Feel it. Play it. Experiment with it. Ask questions. Practice. And learn in an intimate environment surrounded by an extensive collection of instruments they can experience firsthand.
Because learning sound should be an experience in itself.
