PSILOCYBIN FACILITATOR BIO
Kelly Rose
I believe everyone has a right to wellness. As a certified sound and reiki practitioner who honors holding space and allows self-healing, I am proud to be a licensed psilocybin facilitator. Building trust and safety to allow for deep transformations is one of my goals as a facilitator. I use a non-directive approach to give you sovereignty and authority over your experience and trust in your own healing process.
Psilocybin is a “classical” hallucinogen that can cause profound changes in sensation, perception, thought processes, emotions, your experience of time, the nature of reality and of the self. The effects may range from very mild to very strong.

Psilocybin is a psychedelic compound found in over 200 species of fungi. It's also known as 4-phosphoryloxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (4-PO-DMT). Psilocybin is biologically inactive, but the body quickly converts it into psilocin, which can cause mind-altering effects.

"When psilocybin is on board, the brain is disconnecting from its typical pathways and reconnecting to different parts of the brain,” said Nicol, an associate professor of psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

A single dose of psilocybin, the active compound in “magic mushrooms,” can prompt a long-lasting increase in the connections between neurons. Psilocybin can create, and stimulate new neurons and pathways allowing for new possibilities of thinking. Psilocybin has even demonstrated a potential in enhancing neuronal plasticity at both the cellular and molecular levels, suggesting promise for Alzheimer's patients.
Psilocybin is being used a a therapeutic treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, addictions, obsessive compulsive disorder, and psychosis. One psilocybin session can be beneficial in easing fear and anxiety in people with terminal illness. It can also be beneficial in shifting life perspectives or aiding in positive life changes.

Psilocybin therapy may help you make significant positive changes in your life, but it is not a magic cure for anything. For instance, you may have psychological insights about yourself or others. These insights alone may not shift your experience until you translate their impact and teaching into your day-to-day life and make conscious changes in the way you think and behave.

Preparation and integration are invaluable tools that help make the experience more profound and longer-lasting. Preparation and integration are important regardless of the content of your experience.
Integration can be a lifelong process. New neurological pathways have been created or stimulated allowing for change over time not just instantly. However, as with anything in life, you get out what you put in. More serious preparation and integration for longer periods of time to fully incorporate the work with the mushrooms.
